Richard Bell Named Andrew Carnegie Fellow

UH Faculty Fellow, Richard Bell, named a 2021 Andrew Carnegie Fellow by the Carnegie Corporation of New York. This $200,000 will support the completion of his latest book, which examines mid-19th-century Black New Yorkers who campaigned to desegregate public transit with pioneering civil disobedience strategies.
