Welcome to House Denebola!
Known for our strength, courage, loyalty, and wisdom, our house is associated with the lion. Lions courageously and fiercely defend members of their pride. Spontaneity, intuition, and passion: this is the spirit that we bring to the UH community. Our house color is teal.
Our house is named after the star Denebola. Fifteen times brighter than our sun, Denebola is the second brightest star in the Leo (Lat. lion) constellation. Leo is one of the constellations of the Zodiac. Denebola is a younger star, at an estimated age of around 100 to 380 million years. It is fifteen times brighter than our sun, and is surrounded by a circumstellar debris disk of cool dust. In House Denebola, we shine brightly.
House Denebola is one of the four UH Houses. This year, we will be focused on building new traditions for House Denebola (and on winning our first House Cup title, of course!)
