My name is Samir! I liked University Honors because of the diversity of learning within each of the clusters. As an aerospace engineering major, I wanted to learn topics outside of the STEM field and I believed I could best do that in UH. Regarding the leadership position, I wanted to be more involved in UH and help push the program forward. I first want to meet people who are driven, motivated, and have similar goals as me. Second, I want to make the program better by giving my input, and the only way to do that is from the inside. Lastly, I would like to develop my own leadership skills such as public speaking, networking, and decision making.

I have been doing martial arts for about 14 years and I’m testing for my 4th degree black belt this upcoming fall. Another fun fact is that I like going for drives/motorcycle rides to relax.
