Daniel Yoder Zipp

Biography

Daniel Zipp holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles. He was previously a Visiting Assistant Professor at Oberlin College. Most recently, he was an inaugural member of the UCLA-National Taiwan University Summer Institute. Her research centers on the political economy of Chinese environmental politics and Chinese American placemaking efforts in American cities; he has presented it worldwide. While a doctoral student at UCLA, he earned awards for his research, teaching service, and mentorship, including the Excellence in Teaching Award. At Oberlin, he held grants to work with and support undergraduate research assistants.
