Behzad Gohari

Associate Fellow, Geopolitics of Finance

Biography

Behzad Gohari holds a J.D. and LL.M. in Securities & Financial Regulation, as well as an MBA from Georgetown University. Mr. Gohari has lived, worked, and studied in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, and spent his career at the intersection of capital markets, law, and technology. For more than a dozen startups from the software and biotechnology industries, he has acted as founder, investor and strategic advisor. His work has been published in such venues as the Journal of Corporation Law and Wall Street & Technology, and he has been cited widely, from the Wall Street Journal’s MarketWatch to the Law360 blog. In addition to offering a simulation on the geopolitics of financial crisis in University Honors, he teaches the course International Debt Workouts at the American University Washington College of Law.
