Biography

Dr. Hackshaw is an associate clinical professor and serves as the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer of the School of Public Policy. Her research interests include exploring the impact of racial equity plans on local governance and Black immigrant and Black American political incorporation patterns in different metropolitan areas of the US.

Hackshaw’s courses focus on governance, social identity and the creation of public policy and leadership. When she isn’t teaching, she enjoys watching Marvel movies with her family, playing Just Dance, baking, and volunteering with her church.
