Freedom at Stake

Frederick Douglass’s Annapolis

Co-Curricular Experience

What is freedom? How have people repurposed the language or liberty for protest or weaponized it to achieve their goals? How does freedom shape belonging and community development?

These are just a few of the questions students enrolled in the Freedom at Stake 2022-24 Thematic Cluster will seek answers to. This co-curricular experience is a field trip to the Banneker-Douglass museum in Annapolis. Students will get the opportunity to explore freedom as a concept from the point of view of Frederick Douglass with lead faculty fellow, Dr. Christopher Bonner.

Co-curricular experiences are offered at no cost to students. Lunch will/will not be included. Fill out the Google Form below to sign up to express interest in attending.
