Vantage Point Seminar

The University Honors curriculum culminates in Vantage Point Seminar (HNUH 300).

Vantage Point highlights the Honors Citation as a moment of inflection at the midpoint of the college experience. Taken in the second semester of the sophomore year or the first semester of the junior year, this 2-credit course led by a UH faculty member is an opportunity to reflect thoughtfully on coursework and leadership in UH thus far and concretely workshop ideas students hope to build into capstones and applications later on in college. This mindful exploration supports students in finding a fulfilling career and—in the spirit of living/learning—and set broad goals that strike a meaningful balance between life and work.

Students who complete Vantage Point are also eligible to

  • become UH Student Fellows by submitting their project proposal for seed funding (learn more here), and/or
  • submit their launched project for the VP Realization Award (learn more here).
