A proud University Honors alumna, Vineeta Singh received her BA in Spanish Language, Literatures, and Cultures and BS in Biology from the University of Maryland and her PhD in Ethnic Studies from the University of California, San Diego. Before returning to Maryland, Singh was Lemon Project Postdoctoral Fellow in the Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture at the College of William & Mary. Singh’s research concerns U.S. higher education as a site of contest in the Black freedom struggle, and she has taught courses on social movement organizing, black feminist thought, and higher education history.
