Dorith Grant-Wisdom holds a PhD in Political Science from Howard University, and has taught in the University Honors program for a number of years. She is a former Faculty Director of the College Park Scholars International Studies Program and has received many teaching and mentoring awards. She has authored various publications on globalization, the political economy of Latin America and the Caribbean, and U.S. Foreign Policy. Her teaching interests include interrogating issues of Piracy/Pirates amidst War and Peace, and exploring issues of Globalization and Resistance. She is also an affiliate faculty with the Latin American Studies Center (LASC) and a member of the editorial and advisory boards of McGraw-Hill’s Annual Editions, “Global Issues”.
