DeNeen Brown holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Kansas and is currently a Professor in Philip Merrill College of Journalism. She has been an award-winning writer at The Washington Post for more than 35 years. Brown, who has written for the Metro, Magazine and Style sections, was also a Canada bureau chief for The Washington Post. As a foreign correspondent, she wrote dispatches from Greenland, Haiti, Nunavut and an icebreaker in the Northwest Passage.
