David E. Cunningham holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego, and is currently Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Government & Politics at the University of Maryland. His research and teaching focuses on civil war, conflict bargaining, conflict management and international security. From 2014-2018 he was Director of the Government & Politics Honors Program, and he has taught in University Honors in 2017 and 2019.
