Purpose-built residential and program spaces in our new home on North Campus coming December 2021.
University Honors students, being part of the Honors College, are able to return to traditional campus housing through their senior year, provided that they remain in campus housing continuously (except for study abroad) and meet Resident Life deadlines for housing contracts and room selection.
We cannot guarantee a specific residence hall for returning students; the room assignment is dependent on space availability in a given building. Please refer to Resident Life Housing Commitments Policy at: http://reslife.umd.edu/housing/housingcommitments/.
Many University Honors students choose to join our residential community in Hagerstown Hall. University Honors faculty and staff offices are located in Susquehanna Hall and LaPlata Hall.
As part of its broader effort to transform our curriculum, community, and operations, University Honors looks forward to occupying purpose-built residential and program spaces in our new home on North Campus.
There, University Honors students will live in residence halls that have been designed to maximize natural light and offer high-quality common areas, study spaces, and lounges. Students will benefit from dedicated University Honors classrooms, huddle rooms, and event space. And with a brand new, state-of-the-art dining facility right upstairs, this corner of campus promises to become a true “home away from home!”
