Jesse Cordes Selbin holds a BA from the University of Texas, Austin and a PhD in English from the University of California, Berkeley, with a focus on nineteenth-century British literature and the histories of reading and criticism. Cordes Selbin has previously taught courses on literary realism, narrative theory and the novel, and the historical imagination in literature and the arts. Her courses for University Honors will explore the relationship of deliberation to forms of identity, community, and rhetorical expression.
