Originally from New Jersey, Kelly Ricciardi Colvin received her AB from Bowdoin College and her PhD from Brown University, where she also taught classes on modern European history, gender/sexuality, cultural history, and conflict studies. Her research centers on how gender impacts major global historical events and conflicts, including the World Wars and decolonization. Colvin’s publications include a book entitled Gender and French Identity since the Second World War (Bloomsbury, 2017), as well as articles in the Journal of Women’s History and French Historical Studies.
